MAINE BICENTENNIAL SEA BAG

Maine’s 1901 state flag is not only historic, but full of maritime meaning. The North Star has long been a tool for sailors and the pine tree made our state’s unique flag recognizable at great distances. And even the flag’s background color had meaning as it was meant to resemble the buff color of George Washington’s 1779 Continental Army uniforms.
